Alcohol & Other Drug Program

The University's AOD Program has two primary roles. The first is providing counseling resources to students who are concerned with others' use of drugs or who are themselves experiencing problems with drug use. The second role of the program is to coordinate the development of prevention policies and environmental management strategies to reduce the use and the negative impact of drugs on the Binghamton University Campus and in the surrounding communities. A primary goal of our efforts is to sustain and augment a campus community in which students can develop and reach their full potential.

health service entranceStudents can visit the AOD Program by going to the Health Services building which is located just off the East Access Road between the Newing College Community and College in the Woods. Office information and a link to the campus map can be found on the left under the main menu. Everyone, regardless of the reason for their visit, is assured of complete confidentiality. There is no reason to check in at the Health Services reception desk, simply enter the building and use either the elevator or the staircase at the back left of the reception area and descend one flight to floor two. If you wish you can call ahead for an appointment or simply stop in if you see an open door.

The counseling service that we offer is strictly reserved for Binghamton University students and the cost is included in the health fee. We do, however, welcome any campus member who may be seeking information or access to education and programming services. Some of our services are as follows:

If you have any other needs or requirements please contact us at your convenience. We will be glad to discuss other options and ideas.
